Learning about the old Cham culture and the once powerful Kingdom of Champa which flourished from the 2nd to the 15th century CE and became "Indianised" through strong commercial ties, thus (i) adopting Hinduism, (ii) using Sanskrit as sacred language and (iii) borrowing heavily from Indian art, at the historical brick temple towers of Po Nagar, 5 km north of Nha Trang on the northern bank of the Cai River, which were built between the 7th and 12th centuries CE, although the site was used for worship as early as the 2nd century CE.
