2003 Map

Strolling through the officially bilingual (Croatian and Italian) town of Rovinj which is woven by a web of hilly, Venetian-style streets and climbing the campanile of the cathedral of Sv. Euphemia in the middle of the old town.

DM Konni: Scubadiving and penetrating the 34 m deep wreck of the "Baron Gautsch", a luxury passenger liner that used to operate a weekly run from Trieste to Kotor along the Adriatic coast and sank in 1914 CE after hitting a WWI underwater mine.

Meeting our Maltese friends Anthony (nicknamed "The Flying Maltese") and Peter with Peter’s brand new Bavaria 38 Match SY "Rainbow End" on their way from Koper/Slovenia to Valletta/Malta and Hungarian/German friends Eszter and Wolf from SY "Evelina".

Moving SY “Kamu II” to the customs jetty and clearing lazy and incompetent Croatian customs and immigration at Rovinj in a time-consuming and bureaucratic half-day procedure - at least free of charge.
